A fish that breathes air?
Arapaima are air-breathers. These fish are able to survive extensive drought periods by gulping air and burrowing in the mud or sand of the swamps. The fish rises to the surface of the water and inhales air in a loud, distinctive gulp, which is reported to carry for long distances.
