Wonders of the Water Part 1
Date: April 8th
Brownies can join educators from Loveland Living Planet Aquarium to learn all about the Wonders of Water. In part one, girls will create a mural celebrating the things they love about water. Brownies will experience firsthand how girls from around the world use water and learn just how much fresh water we have to go around. The girls will finish the two-hour workshop with a fancy tea party where they’ll decide what actions they can take to protect water. After completing the workshop, the girls will be ready to earn their LOVE Water Award.
Wonders of the Water Part 2
Date: April 29th
In the second half of our journey, Brownies will learn how to be water advocates by choosing a water conservation message to share with others. The girls will design posters, practice public speaking, and learn about their chosen issue before heading to the Aquarium floor to share their message. In true Girl Scout fashion, the girls will teach Aquarium guests the importance of saving water is a respectful way. After communicating about water, the Brownies will brainstorm ways they can get even more people to listen to their message. After completing the workshop, the girls will be ready to earn their SAVE Water Award.
